Today, the Association’s membership consists of more than 650 dealerships in New York’s nine downstate county region—more than 95% of the area’s franchised new vehicle dealers. Whether they live and work in towns or bustling cities, the dealers who make up GNYADA are serving their communities: providing thousands of jobs, paying millions in tax revenue, and supporting charities. GNYADA members sit on the boards of schools, hospitals, and civic associations and make huge contributions to their communities that go largely unnoticed.
We are proud to provide consumer services that have help car buyers understand their rights. For residents of the New York metro area, GNYADA is the area’s most important source of automotive information. GNYADA also maintains AUTOCAP, a highly successful dispute resolution program to mediate and resolve new car purchase or service problems between consumers and dealers.
The Association and its members represent an ever-changing industry, driven by innovation. Training and re-training is therefore critical to staying on top of the technological revolution taking place in the automobile business, and that is why GNYADA built the Center for Automotive Education & Training. The Center now provides training for thousands of people each year.
