PrintVeterans Turn to GNYADA for Career Advice
"Helping our heroes get back into the workforce is a very important part of the transition from military service to civilian life and the auto dealers of greater New York have proved that they not only talk-the-talk, they walk-the-walk," said New York Commissioner for Veterans Affairs, Ronald Tocci.
Tocci was on hand for GNYADA’s first Career Fair aimed at veterans, held in October 2007 at the Center for Automotive Education & Training. "The area's automobile dealers opened up their hearts, and their wallets, for veterans and I have nothing but the deepest respect for the Association"
The program, which was supported by dealers, automakers, training providers and auto suppliers, was developed to connect local dealers with veterans who are eager to begin fulfilling careers. GNYADA worked closely with the New York State Department of Labor in order to reach veterans looking for work in all parts of the State.
