New Car Dealers Help Drive Away the Cold

Auto Dealers Volunteer Showrooms to Collect Coats for New Yorkers in Need

For seven consecutive years, the franchised new car dealers that make up the Greater New York Automobile Dealers Association (GNYADA) have been driving away the cold by setting up coat collection bins in their dealerships for the New York Cares Coat Drive. Since GNYADA’s relationship with New York Cares first began, participating dealers have collected more than 43,000 coats.

Being deeply rooted in their communities, dealers are happy to help spread the word and collect winter jackets for New Yorkers in need. Not only do GNYADA members expand collection sites beyond New York City’s five boroughs, many dealers have taken it upon themselves to increase collection efforts through their own community outreach and social media campaigns. New Car dealers have been known to partner with their local community organizations and hold promotions to maximize collection results.
