For students interested in pursuing a career in the automotive industry, GNYADA offers a number of scholarship awards, and also coordinates scholarship programs for several automakers.

This year, GNYADA gave $5,000 scholarships to the top three finishing teams in the New York Finals Automotive Technology Competition. The 2010 winners of the competition were Tom Avelin and Rob Gilman of Wilson Tech in Northport. Both Tom and Rob plan on attending New England Institute of Technology in the fall.

The GNYADA Peter A. Gordon Scholarships are given to the two students who write the best essays on Why I Hope to Work in an Automobile Dealership. The winners for 2010 are Liam Cordray from William E. Grady CTE High School in Brooklyn and Logan Driscoll from E.J. Milliken Technical Center in Islip.

The Association also presents up to 21 $300 awards to graduating high school seniors who participate in the Greater New York Automotive Technology Competition and display outstanding academic and technical achievements during their high school careers.
