How You Can Get Involved
GNYADA Working with International Red Cross

GNYADA has set up a fund with the International Red Cross to help with the humanitarian needs that have arisen in Ukraine. We want to thank the many who have already contributed to this extraordinary situation, but more help is needed.

As the fighting in Ukraine intensifies, the aid that the Red Cross supplies (basic needs of food, water, clothing, basic medical needs, and toys for youngsters bringing smiles to their faces and the stress they are enduring) is of utmost importance.

More than three million people have fled Ukraine to nearby countries and an estimated 18 million — a third of the country's population — will need humanitarian assistance.

Around the clock, teams are providing emergency aid and support amid fear and uncertainty.

Since the conflict on February 24, Red Cross teams have:
  • Distributed more than 1,000 tons of emergency aid, including food, bedding, tents, water and hygiene items to more than 300,000 people across Ukraine.

  • Supported the evacuation of over 58,000 people from the towns of Energodar and Sumy and the Kviy, Kharkiv and Kherson regions.

  • Provided first aid training to more than 42,000 people across the country.

  • Assisted with the evacuation of people with disabilities.

  • Supported logistics pipelines into Ukraine to ensure critical items can be delivered.

To assist in this effort, GNYADA has joined forces with the American Red Cross in Greater New York to raise funds to help the victims of the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine. We have arranged with the Red Cross to set up a dedicated webpage to make it quick and easy for you to make your donation to help assist in this crisis.
